CB8 ::Cellar Bar 8::

Long time no submit!... Been so busy have had no time to post stuff, no rest for the wicked eh? ... ok well I have been asked to re-brand a bar/club in cambridge, which is great as I used to want to get my hands on one to do in Spain but only got my mates pokey little bar... so i'm a very happy man at the mo as I have been given carte blanche (well nearrrrly) when it comes to the style etc... It's a great space, but it's being used totally inappropriately, so I am helping getting it sold to the young and afluent of Cambridge. There will be all sorts of nights, here from Salsa to strippers, rock to reggae etc etc... very varied but classy, the stripper side is aiming to be more a cabaret, sit down with a meal gentlemans night rather than a night for the beer swilling 'lets cop a feel luv' crowd... the rock nights are excellent and the acoustic nights have started getting a great following. Anyway back to the design, I thought we'd better re-launch it as CB8 rather than Cellar Bar 8 as it really feels a bit worn and the 'cellar' doesn't add to it, I believe it being downstairs is great but the name doesn't glam it up. There's also other bars called CB2 and CB1 which are related to the Cambridge area code, so it also bounces off their marketing. The silhouettes on the cards represent different nights, this will also be how the interior will be painted, i'll get some of those up as soon as we get going. The poster is just an inital exploration into what we can do with the style, the blank spaces are there to be written over depending what is on... this is only a temporary procedure as once we have the line up sorted... this is the good part ;D ... once we have the line up secured, I will then produce some nice big colourful a1 posters, these will have the CB8 branding on them (the silhouettes, red, yellow etc and logo) and people will recognise the colours as we will ahve saturated the media with the look already... then there will be 7 strips going across that look like they've been ripped through... each one will have an individual style depending on the night, so for example the rock night will have lights bursting out and bits of guitars and drums etc, and thennnnn... stay with me ... each of those individual nights will have their own poster campaign that will have the CB8 branding around the edge so people can link it all together... phewwww ... can't wait to get it all together as a show piece ! ... j. take it easy everyone ...
